When your eyes begin to adjust to the light, the outdoor reality becomes an indoor experience. These inner and outer worlds are interwoven as one and you become immersed into two different realities. A camera allows us to capture what is in front of our eyes at one particular moment in time. The instant the shutter clicks, the action cannot be reversed and the photograph is captured. We call this the point of no return. Using an analogue camera and reversing the filmstrip over, we can go back to the start but we can never seize the exact same image again. This way we hold on to a memory, yet we can never experience it in the same way again.' A collaborative project with Sophie Rotter, Gabrielle Tanguay, Jo Wilks, Peisen Shen and Yoann Stas.
